130m² Premium Tarmac Driveway Transformation in Bradford-on-Avon.
Bradford-on-Avon
We are pleased to showcase this recently completed driveway installation in Bradford-on-Avon. This project involved a complete transformation of a large 130m² area, replacing the existing surface with a high-specification tarmac finish designed for longevity and aesthetic appeal.
The Process As seen in the gallery, the project required comprehensive groundworks to ensure a stable foundation. We utilised heavy machinery to excavate and prepare the sub-base, ensuring the ground was perfectly levelled and compacted before laying the final surface. Proper preparation is key to a driveway that remains strong and durable for years to come.
The Finish: 6mm SMA For the surfacing, we utilised a 6mm SMA (Stone Mastic Asphalt) finish. SMA is widely regarded in the industry for its superior strength compared to standard asphalt. Its high stone content structure provides excellent resistance to deformation—meaning it stands up incredibly well to the turning of car tyres and heavy use.
The result is a smooth, jet-black, durable surface that not only looks smart but provides a robust, low-maintenance parking solution for the homeowner. We also installed comprehensive drainage channels (ACO drains) along the perimeter to ensure efficient water runoff.
